Matt’s drive to serve Vigilant’s member companies is second to none. So is his sharp humor. Don’t be fooled if he makes you laugh, because he’s serious when it comes to helping companies navigate the tough legal terrain of employment and labor law. He’s always watching for risk along the path and leading members through it to meet their business goals.

Matt is a dynamic counselor who’s worked in the legal field since he was a teenager. As a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army, he served as a prosecutor and advised commanders on misconduct investigations and national security law. (And he says he had to run – a lot – very early in the morning.) He is calm under pressure and loves a challenge. Best of all, he is a consummate team player who embodies Vigilant’s service ethos. Matt is someone you want on your team.

When he’s not advising members, Matt can be found in a book (not law) or doing just about anything outdoors.
